Hosting. This is a static website hosted via GitHub Pages. When the website is accessed, GitHub logs the visitor's IP address for security purposes. Technical connection data such as the time of the request, requested resource, browser or device information may also be processed in connection with the delivery and security of the service. The purpose is the secure and reliable provision of this website. The legal basis for processing under my responsibility is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing and securing the website). GitHub may process data outside the European Economic Area. External content and links. Some profile icons are currently loaded from external servers, in particular ORCID and Wikimedia. Loading these files causes the browser to connect to the respective server, which may receive the visitor's IP address and technical connection data. Links to external academic profiles, publications and other websites are otherwise contacted only after the user clicks the respective link.

Cookies and tracking. This website itself does not use analytics or advertising services, does not provide a contact form, and does not set its own cookies or store information in local or session storage for tracking purposes.

E-mail contact. If you contact me by e-mail, the information you provide is processed only to answer and handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the communication relates to a contractual or pre-contractual matter. The information is deleted when it is no longer required for the enquiry, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Your rights. Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

This notice reflects the current technical setup of the website. It should be updated if analytics, forms, embedded media or other external services are added.
